I am currently a student at Florida SouthWestern State College, majoring in Business Management and Entrepreneurship. All of my life my father has instilled the importance of conducting a healthy lifestyle. I come from a strong athletic background, beginning ballet and tap at the age of 3.

Once I reached middle school I joined track and field team, ranking in hurdles, high-jump, and long jump. Around the same time, I exceeded at soccer, and competitive cheer. By High school I joined the cheerleading team for Edward H. White high school in Jacksonville, Florida.

Currently residing in Fort Myers, Florida, I was seeking discipline in my diet and lifestyle. Little did I know that I would be competing in my first NPC show, The Winter Classic 2015, which was very successful. With my coaches backing me from start to stage, I took home 1st place in Novice, Overall in Novice and 2nd place in my Open class. I hope to do a national qualifying show soon with anticipation of working on my pro card in 2017. This is not easy work, but it is definitely worth it. PROGRESS & PRIDE!!!

Hi Bonnie Peterson here!! I’m a sassy 31 year old redheaded figure girl who loves her iron as well as Progress & Pride!!!

Ever since high school lifting has been a part of my life!! I earned my varsity letters in weight lifting and went to states in 9th grade, after that I ventured into other sports like volleyball and cross country but weights were my love.

A husband and three boys later I still have a passion for fitness. Three years ago I started working out with a purpose and haven’t looked back. Each time I hit a goal I set the bar higher. I won my first show..The Orlando Europa 2014 Figure class d. Currently I am in the process of re-qualifying so I can set a new goal of nationals! Follow my journey to the top on Instagram!

I graduated from the University of Florida with a Landscape Management degree and a minor in business and marketing. I have two kids that I love, and almost as challenging is my love for exotic animals, who I used to rails on a farm in High Springs.

Currently I am a project manager for a landscaping firm in Gainesville, but I hope to have a career in fitness some day. I used to think that lifting weights would make me look like a man, but I absolutely love how I look, feel and the overall way my body has developed with weightlifting.

My philosophy is that competing gives you a goal of something hard to work towards, and it is so amazing because you can only compete with yourself. You can only be better than you were the day before, and that is what I strive for. I’ve worked very hard to get where I am, but I still have a long way to go.

Show history:

  • St. Augustine, Fl: April 2014 – 1st Place, short figure class, overall
  • Lake City, Fl: April 2014 – 1st place, short figure class

When I first started competing in March 2014, I went to my first show (the CJ Classic) just to learn and see how I would like it. I absolutely fell in love with the sport (how could you not?), and have since met so many people along the way who share my passion for fitness.

I was born in Brooklyn, NY into a family that came from Sicily, Italy, which is where all the rest of my family still lives. I’ve had a passion for fitness for over 15 years, so competing only adds to that passion, while allowing me to improve myself everyday.

I started belly dancing after a trip to Egypt in 2004, and fell in love with this wonderful art. In 2010, I placed second at the USA Belly Dance Queen Competition, and I have danced at various restaurants in the Palm Beach County area, as well as at private events and shows.

Show history:

  • CJ Classic
  • Anna Level
  • Prestige Crystal Cup: 2014 – 6th Place, Masters over 30
  • Ruby Championships: Sept. 2014 –

I am a national qualified bikini competitor. This is my third season competing in bikini. I started my journey in the gym January 2013

I decided to take a year off of competing to grow mentally and physically so I would be ready for Nationals 2015 in Miami. I will be competing at two other shows this season to prepare for Nationals.

I can’t wait for 2015 to be my best season yet and I am honored to have the amazing Progress and Pride family behind me. I couldn’t ask for a better support system!

Show history:

  • NPC Southern States: July 2013 – 7th Place
  • Qualified for 2014 NPC Southeast Classic

I’ve been competing on and off since 2008, while the last 3 years I have gotten much more serious about competing. I was the first sponsored athlete with Progress and Pride!!

I am currently sponsored by Progress and Pride, Hardcore Apparel, Evolutionary Protege, CJ Elite Competition Suit and The Grove at Turtle Run.

I am also a trainer and a prep coach, managing over 30 people a week, while juggling time between work and my other loves – my wife and my baby. Obviously my favorite hobby is exercise, and my goal is to turn pro and help others in their dreams of turning pro as well.

I’m a former competitive figure skater from Flushing, Michigan. My sister is in the Army, and my brother is married with SEVEN children. Yes. Seven. Seven children. How wild is that?!

Once out of high school, I got a bit too involved with the party lifestyle, and decided to move to Florida thinking that would help me. Even though this initially did not, it helped to shape who I am today and I can honestly say that I wouldn’t change it for the world because it has made me who I am today.

With the support and love of my family and boyfriend, I was able to get away from that lifestyle, and after my boyfriend signed me up for the MS Mud Run in 2009, I have never looked back. Bodybuilding truly saved my life, and once I started I have never looked back!

Although this is my first year of actually competing in the NPC, I have always been very into sports and staying fit. I’ve done everything from basketball and volleyball to roller derby!

I am so excited to learn and grow in this sport, and I couldn’t ask for anyone better or more knowledgeable than Bryan as my prep coach and Dianna as my posing coach.

Without the love and support of my Mom and Dad I never would be where I am today, but I must especially thank my husband who puts up with me during my prep. Love you honey! We’re going to be celebrating our first anniversary on November 9th.

Show history:

  • Progress & Pride Classic – 2015 1st Place in Figure
  • Progress & Pride Classic – 2015 Overall Winner
